DICK & JAYNE GET A LIFE
RECEIVES BEST OF HOLLYWOOD FRINGE EXTENSION

July 2, 2013, Los Angeles, CA – World Premier of sorta romantic sorta comedy, Dick & Jayne Get A Life earns an honored extension for two more shows in July after a run with a dynamic ensemble cast in the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

“This is a wonderful new play. I have seen A LOT of shows this Fringe …this is a real play with real characters who learn and grow and we feel for them. Peppur Chambers is a great writer and she shows off with this piece. The acting is overall pretty wonderful, especially Nicole Adelman and Michael Hampton who play the leads Jayne and Dick. The work Michael does on Dick is worth going to the theater for all by itself.” – Aaron Francis, Sacred Fools

“If offbeat and quirky characters and situations are your thing this is the play for you. Not quite a straight play not the kind of play I think I’ve ever seen before. Writer is very creative and actors are SUPERB!!!” – Anonymous

“Peppur has her finger on the pulse of the people, and has written a timeless romantic comedy that gives hope to all of us. This is a great show and not to be missed.” – Bob Leggett, Examiner

“{This play offers}… the chance for two unextraordinary and flawed people to somehow make the quantum leap from individual disastrous lives to a shared disastrous one, thus confirming the immutable law that for every Dick there is a Jayne, just like in the books that taught us to read. – James Scarborough, Huffington Post

Dick & Jayne Get A Life: Dick is an un-funny comedian. Dick’s manager implores him to find the funny or never come back to the comedy club. Dick feels he can only be funny if he has a girlfriend. Enter Jayne. She’s a pregnant, self-proclaimed f*ck-up …broke, scared and faced with a decision. Together, Dick & Jayne Get A Life. Written by Peppur Chambers and directed by Les Wieder, two weirdos find solace in this quirky, sorta romantic sorta comedy. Presented by Lazlo Vidor Productions, Three Peas Productions and in association with Theatre Planners.

Performs July 13 & 14th, 5pm at The Lounge Theater, 6201 Santa Monica Blvd, LA 90038. Tickets are $15 at http://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/1307.
