WHAT:
CSULA Goes to Fringe in combination with CSULA’s Recession Theatre Collective and ARC Productions will be bringing an new play to the Hollywood Fringe Festival on June 20, 27, and 29 at the Lounge Theatre on Santa Monica.

Written by Martin Horvat as part of a year long culmination project for the MFA program at CSULA, Water Under the Bridge, was first presented at the University’s Arena Theatre in April of this year and was then chosen by a group of MFA’s to move to the Hollywood Fringe Festival under the direction of Candice M. Clasby.

Who deserves the spot on the springboard to salvation?
Through their I-was-here-first argument, a man and a woman are forced to re-live moments of their past, and the traumatizing events that led them both to a bridge in an attempt to end their lives.

Director, Candice M. Clasby is a student in the MFA program at CSULA pursuing a degree in production and directing. She has been working as a Choreographer and
Director in and around Los Angeles and Orange County for the past 7 years.

Playwright, Martin Horvat is also pursuing his MFA at CSULA with an emphasis in writing. He moved here from Slovenia to pursue a career in television, film, and theatre.

The Lounge Theatre is located at 6201 Santa Monica Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90038. The Theatre is just 5 minutes from the 101 in the heart of Hollywood.
