“I’m Doing the Best I Can” A love letter to procrastination and the creative process.

Making a name for herself as a stand-up comic, Phoebe Ventouras has received rave reviews as an actor. Described as “Sterling” (Phillip Hopkins, TheaterMania) “The right whimsy for the job” (Helen Shaw, New York Sun), and having “appealing sauciness” (Matthew Murray, Talkin’ Broadway), she combines a sensitive portrayal of human foibles with a wicked sense of humor. In “I’m Doing The Best I Can”, she puts her own shortcomings as a comic and person on full display in a hilarious celebration of her creative demons. A showcase for gifts as a singer and defects as a dancer, this one-woman comedy show sprinkles in song and dance for good measure.

Known for her unique voice as a real lady lost in the real world, comedian Phoebe Ventouras follows up years of meaning to make a one-woman show with this disastrous attempt at a serious endeavor. Distracted by her need for and fear of perfection, a total lack of self-awareness, and the very crowd in front of her, Phoebe takes the audience on a wild jaunt that includes reading, sitting, watching, and a little song and dance.
