(NO STATIC AT ALL) – a world premiere solo show written and performed by Alex Knox and directed by Becca Wolff – delves into one man’s crisis of faith and his subsequent obsession with an enigmatic rock band. Come along on this highly personal journey of self-discovery that makes stops at untamed beaches on Kauai, sweaty recording studios in L.A., and a tiny town in Israel that hides an earthshaking relic. And remember: if your world is spinning… put a record on.

Alex Knox (Writer/Performer) is an actor based in Los Angeles and Orange County. His recent stage credits include EURYDICE at South Coast Repertory and MACBETH at The Antaeus Company. On camera, he can be seen as the hapless hero in the music video for Green Day’s “Stray Heart.” He created and directed EYE, a wordless mask play featuring music, movement, and more than a dozen original masks. Alex is a company member of Tilted Field Productions, and a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and the Yale School of Drama. (NO STATIC AT ALL) is his first one-man play.

Becca Wolff (Director) is co-founder of Tilted Field Productions and artistic director of IAMA Theatre Company. Recent directing projects include the world premiere of STATUS UPDATE by Dorothy Fortenberry (Center Rep), the West Coast Premiere of Dan LeFranc’s SIXTY MILES TO SILVERLAKE (IAMA Theatre Company). Upcoming projects include THE LAST DAYS OF MARY STUART – an opera composed by the rock band TONY (Son of Semele Ensemble, Summer 2013). She directed USHER, named Outstanding Musical at the 2008 NYC International Fringe Festival, and a host of works at regional and international venues including Ensemble Studio Theatre (NYC), Perishable Theatre (Providence), Odyssey Theatre (LA) and The Edinburgh Fringe. In the themed entertainment world, she is creative director on several attractions for RGH Entertainment’s THE RED SEA ASTRARIUM, a theme park set to open in Aqaba, Jordan in 2014. She is a graduate of The New School, NYC, and holds an MFA in Directing from Yale School of Drama.
