Student Fringe: Calling all Teachers!
The Hollywood Fringe Festival is delighted and proud to announce Student Fringe, a new outreach program for Festival 2012. Student Fringe will provide middle and high school aged students with an immersive arts education experience through a full day of workshops and performances at Fringe Central.
Student Fringe will be led by a diverse group of experienced LA-based actors, musicians, teachers, and producers – from comedy to clowns, music to spoken word, and more. Student Fringe provides a glimpse into the alternative arts world, where a do-it-yourself mindset is both encouraged and celebrated.
The goal is to show students the many ways they can be a part of the artistic community, the many different types of arts that are available to them, and to provide them with an experience that is both educational and entertaining. We want LA students to FRINGE with us!
We currently have several schools from different parts of Los Angeles coming to join us and one another for Student Fringe, but we still have some room for more! If you are an LA-based teacher or educator who may want to bring a class to attend Student Fringe, please e-mail [email protected] to learn more.
