VERDICT: PRETTY GOOD
I was at the preview performance on June 9 and agree that the sound problems caused the band, as good as they were, to overpower the singers. And I really wanted to know what they were singing. Having been a fan of the movie my whole life. I really wanted to LOVE this show, but walked away just li... read all

Opera isn't exactly my first choice when it comes to theatre, but if you're into it, then you should have a great time. This show is so well produced, in every since of the word, that it makes up for the small things I had gripes about. The actors are amazing singers but the fact that this is an oper... read all

This was an enjoyable production. Now, I'm a firm believer in "show, don't tell," and this script is four individuals recalling the same series of events from their own perspectives (all "tell", no "show"), so this wasn't quite my type of show. That being said, the performances were good, the individ... read all

VERDICT: AMAZING
There's something great about walking into a show and knowing NOTHING about it - and that's exactly what I did. One Man Show: A Duet is a smart, snappy hour of theatre with quick wit and a great premise. The chemistry between TJ Marchbank and Mark Jacobson is flawless, and they're complemented nicely... read all

It's clear that these performers LOVE what they're doing, and who doesn't LOVE an hour of Improv games? This is a great way to spend your afternoon or evening -- Caution though, these are seasoned veterans. You will have fun, you will laugh, and you will have a great time. VERDICT: NOT MY THING
The preview I saw suffered from major sound balancing issues. There were several times where mics cut in and out at awkward moments, or where the chorus' mics were on, while the main singer in the front's was off. As a result, I missed a lot of the lyrics, which is bad because this show was nothing b... read all

I'm being brave and posting this with my name attached. Theatre is a learning experience, much of the time, and this is only one person's opinion. I'll be the first one to admit that when I heard the words "Time Machine Musical" uttered at the second Fringe Workshop event, I was extremely excited... read all

Truly was an amazing show! David and Leeman definitely took the crowd on a magical, hilarious, and memorable journey! Had nothing to do on a Saturday and have always enjoyed a good magic show. Not only was the magic spectacular, the humor was as well. There was not a dull moment throughout the show. ... read all

I love HG Wells' "The Time Machine" but this was really dreadful. It almost felt like the writer had no idea what it was supposed to be about. The Eloise and the Morlocks mean nothing to me if you don't set up their world. Where did they come from? Why are they the way that they are? Instead, they sp... read all

I love that 3 of a Kind does original works and three of them for the price of one ticket is definitely a bonus. As all relationships have awkward pauses, so did these plays, but in very different ways. The first play is about the start of a relationship. Finding your way through those first aw... read all

When I hear the words "solo show" I have to admit that some part of me feels like it shrivels up in fear. I associate these types of shows with whininess, self-aggrandizing types looking for agents, attention-seeking above all, doing anything but put on a show for other people. If Ceremony hadn't bee... read all

Watching this play did not give me man boobs, but that's okay because I had a great time! Who knew a play about marketing and women could be so damn funny, and thoughtful as well. A really great production through and through from the writing to the directing to the acting ... go see it! ... read all

I didn't know what to expect when I attended O, Fallen One. I knew the character of Ophelia had often polarized people in the past, who either thought she was a looney victim, or a feminist who refused to compromise her principles, especially when it came to love. What I found from this piece was lyr... read all

With a show as complicated as The Real Housekeepers of Studio City, you don't expect it at a Fringe Festival. This show was top-notch. It was springy, fun, and hilarious.
