The Infra Thin

Michael Gardner performs an updated and re-mixed version of his CalArts REEF Artist Residency from 2022 in this Fringe Festival addition. In practice Michael is a painter, and in The Infra Thin he amplifies that through stories presented with synthesized music, sound, and video. Inspired by the Lincoln Center Serious Fun concerts of the late 80’s, Michael presents in an aesthetic reminiscent of early Spaulding Gray and Laurie Anderson compilations, but with an accent clearly his own as viewed through the eyes as one conscious of those who came before, and leaving his own traces behind.
